I've been told on several occassions that I look like Zooey Deschanel's character on New Girl. If I had lots of money to buy the clothes I wanted to wear, I would dress just like her. We don't really have the best luck in the dating world, but are still hopeless romantics. We're both kind of goofy and socially awkward. We both work with kids and are very emotional. And for some reason we both seem to think that singing our words makes more sense. She just kind of gets me, ya know?

You know, every year I have these big plans of getting Christmas done early, developing these great organizational skills and picking out the perfect gift for every person on my list. And every year I get down to the wire because I'm so focused on putting together the PERFECT gift that I never actually make it there. i have a math test today. it's a re-take actually of a test i took last week which i didn't do so hot on. i may or may not have had a major breakdown last night which resulted in a massive migraine this morning. not good. but, after a whole lot of studying (which included A LOT of help from my mom) and whole lotta prayers i am feeling somewhat completely prepared. now i've just got to believe i can actually get through the test with a decent grade so i can pass this awful AWESOME math class for once and for all (i've taken 1010 not once, but three times...judge me if you will). failure is NOT an option.

what's with all this 'single awareness day' and "i hate valentines day" stuff i keep hearing year after year. honestly, it kind of makes me mad. who says the only kind of love to be celebrated is romantic? i say celebrate every kind of love you have...whether it be for a friend, family member, significant other, or simply just loving whatever it is that you're doing right. now. show them you love them...today, and every day. and be grateful for this moment.
