didn't stand a chance.

i should have gone straight to bed, but i didn't. instead i laid in bed for over an hour, because i guess i was just too busy reading. two nights in a row too. the best part was when i woke up the next morning and instead of getting ready or eating breakfast i thought it would be a good idea to open up that book again. wrong choice. because then i missed the bus and was late to work. but i guess in the end it was worth it because i finally read 'the hunger games.' never mind that i put off all other responsibilities for a couple days. really, i hadn't planned on loving it so much that i couldn't put it down. sometimes i get this way, when i find a book that pulls me and really i just can't put it down. i guess i never really stood a chance though. for as long as i can remember my mom has always carried around a book around wherever she goes. i swear she goes through a different book every week. and since i was little we always went to the city library every single week. always getting the maximum limit of books. the next week we were back for more. i suppose from an early age a love of reading was instilled in me. because i have always loved reading. you know how on the first day of school your teachers would go around the classroom and everyone had to say their name and something they like to do...well, i ALWAYS said i love to read. really it wouldn't be so bad if i made time for anything besides reading when i'm in the middle of a great book. but just so we're clear...don't think this means i excel at reading my textbooks. that's still something i haven't quite figured out yet! now if i could just need to get my hands on the second book of the hunger games...

have you read the hunger games? which was your favorite of the three? do you have a favorite book that you just couldn't put down when you were reading it?

Good luck getting your hands on the second book! My co-worker couldn't wait for me to get her my copy and so she read it online at onread.com - so you could do that if you want.

The first one is my favorite, but I love each of them in a different way. ENJOY! :D
