the rest is still unwritten.

'happy endings...not just for fairy tales. writing my own story one page at a time.'

behind every individual, behind every choice, behind every smile, behind every tear...lies a story. i thought i would share with you the inspiration behind my blog title.

some may think 'happy endings?' well that's naive, happy endings are not for real life. i choose to believe otherwise. we have all heard the same old stories of a damsel in distress, who meets a handsome prince and they live 'happily ever after.' yet, what we often forget is the trials and adversity each must face to ultimately reach their own happy 'ending.' there are fire breathing dragons, wicked step mothers, and evil witches with poison apples. each which can be found in their real life counterparts. in real life, each of us must face difficulties, yet we still can achieve our own happy ending. but, only if we are willing to work for it. we must first hope, believe, and then act. it is up to us to write our own story. our own happy ending.

"we all have a story to tell, whether we whisper or yell." --he is we, 'happily ever after'

"each happy ending's, a brand new beginning." --carrie underwood, 'ever ever after'
"aren't those wonderful words to begin a story? 'once upon a time' promises something: a story of adventure and romance, a story of princesses and princes. it may include tales of courage, hope, and everlasting love. in many of these stories, nice overcomes mean and good overcomes evil. but perhaps most of all, i love it when we turn to the last page and our eyes reach the final lines and we see the enchanting words, 'and they lived happily ever after.' isn't that what we all desire: to be heroes and heroines of our own stories; to triumph over adversity; to experience life in all its beauty; and, in the end, to live happily ever after?" --dieter f. uchtdorf, 'your happily ever after

i believe that this is my life. i choose to write on my pages the choices that will hopefully lead me to that happy ending i believe in. things won't always go as planned {in fact, they rarely will.} still, it's up to me to decide how i live my life. how i respond to the things life throws at me. afterall, 'the rest is still unwritten!'
